The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Illinois Informatics Institute is now accepting applications for the position of Program Coordinator for Campus and Community Outreach. The primary responsibility for this position is to coordinate collaborative campus and community activities of the Illinois Informatics Institute, including management of the CU Community Fab Lab, relevant campus-wide initiatives, and interdisciplinary research, teaching and outreach involving informatics. The Illinois Informatics Institute is an interdisciplinary unit of the University supporting research, education, and social engagement in applications of computing and information in science, arts and humanities. The institute hosts an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program and an undergraduate minor in informatics, and coordinates Bioinformatics Master’s degree programs across campus. The Institute also sponsors and coordinates a variety of interdisciplinary research and public engagement activities.
