Postdoctoral Research Associate – Multiscale Atmospheric Plasma Simulations

The Accelerated Materials Research (AMRes) group at the Applied Research Institute (ARI) at the College of Engineering University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) seeks Postdoctoral Research Associate applicants with backgrounds in Multiscale/Multiphysics reactive plasma flow simulations. The position requires the ability to carry out externally funded research on atmospheric plasma and surface interactions. The project will be carried out in collaboration with plasma engineering team with experimental capabilities. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively as required by this three-year project will be important. A high degree of professional maturity is also required. ARI works with UIUC academic departments, multiple industry partners, mission-driven agencies, national laboratories and governmental agencies. In addition to academic excellence, this position is an excellent opportunity to train in modern project management principles and applied research on problem-solving. The expected start date is as soon as possible, based on the business needs of the organization. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
