Assistant Director of Industry Operations
The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) advances discovery and innovation through extreme-scale computing, science-enabling software, and the skills of our expert staff. NCSA is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Industry Operations. The incumbent will report directly to the Integrated Cyberinfrastructure (ICI) Director, and will have the primary responsibility to coordinate NCSA’s Industry high-performance computing (HPC) operations, data storage, networking, security, and database services, as well as a host of other cyberinfrastructure (CI) related services to insure the reliable, and optimized delivery of those services. The Assistant Director of Industry Operations will ensure reliable and optimized delivery of computing and data services to NCSA Industry partners. The incumbent will coordinate the technical staff supporting the programs that report through ICI divisions and groups. The Assistant Director of Industry Operations will work closely with the NCSA Industry Product Line Manager to coordinate needs and service deliveries with the industry partners.
This is a regular academic professional position at NCSA and is an annually renewable, 12/12, 100%-time appointment with regular University benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience and start date will be as soon as possible after the close date of the search.
