Clinical Professor (Open Rank) 
Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship

The Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for full- and part-time Clinical Professor (Open Rank) positions (if the position is less than 50%, the adjunct modifier will be added to the title). Qualified individuals are needed to teach undergraduate courses in the areas of engineering and technology entrepreneurship.  In addition to teaching, the successful candidate(s) may also be called upon to represent The Grainger College of Engineering in programs in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as provide mentorship in the areas of engineering entrepreneurship, technology translation, and commercialization of engineering research and technology.

All successful Clinical Faculty candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, as well as five years of industry experience in investing in, managing, or leading technology companies.  Ideal candidates include those who demonstrate evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through teaching, and/or service endeavors. Successful applicants contribute to high-quality instruction, curriculum development, and student mentoring.  

 

These positions are non-tenure track positions appointed on a 9-month service basis. The proposed start date for this position is August 16, 2022; however, may be sooner depending on the needs of the organization. Applicants may be interviewed before the closing date; however, no hiring decision will be made until after that date. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
